The Artist Writer
If you are a writer, sometimes only a pen will do. Well, you're in luck as the Artist Pencil is a flexible instrument with many capabilities. Using the standard collet, a 'Parker' style Biro refill replaces the lead. In fact, smaller barrelled refills will also work by simply winding a bit of masking tape around the refill until it's large enough to be captured in the collet. I'm currently using a 'Fisher Space Pen' refill using this technique.
I also make a collet specifically for the Artist Writer that is tapered to perfectly compliment the refill.
Now, as a writer, you are able to take advantage of the superb ergonomics of the Artist Pencil. Less fatigue in use and of course, that wonderful feel of silky wood beneath your fingertips.
